A content management system is a platform on which we build your website and is a term used to describe the fact that you can edit the website via an online panel. This means you can update the website in a few clicks, change text or maybe even add a video, yourself!
Yes, you are welcome to use your own hosting if you wish, we do not tie you to our own hosting. We do however, strongly advise against this. The reason for this, is because all websites running a content management system require regular security updates to avoid viruses and hacking and also website backups. If you already have a website then we can work on your existing site, or start a new one from scratch. You can keep your domain, emails etc and benefit from a bespoke, beautiful website perfectly suited to your needs.
To keep prices as low as possible, we’re predominantly an online-only web design agency. For smaller web design packages, we have a number of practises to ensure that we can obtain a clear understanding of your requirements over the telephone or via email. For larger more complex projects, we may suggest a consultation.
The hosting for your website and email is free for 6 months depending on your package and includes hosting support, monthly security updates (to help avoid damage to your website) and monthly website backups. The cost for this service after the free period is currently £19.99 per month . This may be subject to change.
All of our websites run on a content management system, which means you have an admin panel that you can log into and update the text and images. If you’d like to add more pages to your website, all packages allow you to add unlimited pages yourself. You are free to add images, videos, PDFs and other content at will, subject to your storage space allowance.
As your website’s size and complexity will be bespoke to what you need, the development time required to build it will vary. We’ll provide an estimate (along with our quote) and keep you in the loop with progress reports while building your site. It’s worth noting we price by the content, not by the time taken to build it.
